Charlotte Christian Spiritist Center Covid-19

Dear CCSC Family, We wanted to take a moment to inform you of CCSC’s policy considering the Coronavirus. While there are various reports that are being disseminated, it is important for us to pursue a reasonable and wise response. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Paul - 2 Timothy 1:7

We have decided to NOT suspend our weekly activities at this moment, but we are postponing the 4th Spiritist Symposium of the Carolinas until further notice, following the North Carolina Governor’s recommendation to cancel meetings and events with more than 100 participants. We are however, encouraging the following precautions: - If you’re sick or potentially sick, please stay home. - If you have recently traveled from one of the areas being affected by the Coronavirus, please stay home. - If you are regularly around at-risk (older adults and people with chronic illness), please stay home. - If your 65 or older, we recommend you please stay home. - Hand sanitizer will be provided at all our attendees and encourage everyone to frequently wash hands before and after the activities. - We recommend limiting personal contact such as hugs, handshakes etc. - Be mindful of personal space and allow ample room between others as much as possible. We will address the Coronavirus Pandemic in our next meeting, and we would like to recommend all our members to remember how our thoughts and feelings are important in building a happy and balanced life. Let’s contribute to the atmosphere of our planet praying and spreading hope. If possible, please read the chapter 23 of the book Nosso Lar (Andre Luiz, Chico Xavier. We would also to share the following message from the same spiritual friend at the end of this update. Please feel free to contact us if you need. We’ll keep you posted. May God bless all of us. Heddy Patrick Garcia Charlotte Christian Spiritist Center *Facing Transitory Facts* At no time should you be thrilled by disorderly emotions in the face of events that make public opinion passionate, such as, for example, crimes, catastrophes, epidemics, geological phenomena and any other. To calm down is to calm others. * In conversations and comments about terrifying news, refrain from sensationalism. Charity mutes the verb in disarray. * To keep a thoughtful attitude in the face of events considered scandalous, juxtaposing the influence of the good with the harassment of the bad. The word cruel increases the strength of crime. * Protect yourself in the shelter of prayer in all the distressing trances of existence. Trials gravitate to the sphere of Divine Justice. * Accept in the biggest as well as the smallest disappointments in life human, however strange or disconcerting they may be, manifestation of the Superior Designs acting in favor of the spiritual improvement. God does not make mistakes. * Even with sacrifice, amid unexpected accidents that hope, never give up building the good that it must be accomplished. Each Spirit has its own account in Perfect Justice. * “See that no one gives evil to another for evil, but I followed always good, both towards each other and towards all." Paulo. (1st letter to the Thessalonians, chapter 5, verse 15.) (André Luiz, Spiritist Conduct, chap. 39).
